1. GENERAL REMARKS
The protection of your personal data is the highest priority for Droniq GmbH. It is important to us to inform you about which personal data we collect during your visit to our website, how this data is used and which options you have. This data privacy notice provides answers to the most important questions.
2. LEGAL FOUNDATION
Article 6 paragraph 1b of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is the legal basis for the processing and protection of personal data for the service offered.
3. WHAT DATA IS COLLECTED AND HOW IS IT USED?
Use of the data for the TrackViewer
Within the scope of providing our UTM and TrackViewer services, we make use of the service provider Unifly NV and DFS Deutsche Flugsicherung GmbH where necessary. Within the scope of this service provision, we transmit the data necessary for the execution of the services to these service providers. In addition, the services of the map services of Google Maps and the Federal Office of Cartography and Geodesy (BKG) are used in the presentation
Purpose of the data collection
The data is collected and processed for the following purposes:
- support of safety and traffic management
- enhancement of security awareness,
- understanding of traffic situations,
- required for billing the service,
- required for securing the Droniq GTCs.
Nature of the data collected
For the use of some functions the creation of a personal account is required. The following data will be collected for the above-mentioned purposes:
- name, first name, e-mail, company/club/affiliation, address, area of operation, HOD-IDs, HOD-IMSI and HOD version of the user,
- flight coordinates including time stamps of flight events with the drone,
- information about the use of the website, including browser type and version, IP address and date/time of use.
If you want to align the map view to your current location and call the corresponding function in TrackViewer, the geolocation API of your internet browser will be used with your consent. If you are using a device with GPS support, the GPS module can be used to determine your current location more precisely. The collection and use of your location data by means of the geolocation API of your internet browser only takes place when you explicitly request a localization. This data is used to align the map display and mark your location on it.
Integration of Google Maps
We use optional the services of Google Maps for the TrackViewer. Therefore, we can provide visualization by using Google Maps functionalities.
By using the TrackViewer, Google receives information that you have visited the respective website. Further information on the purpose and scope of data collection and its processing by the plug-in provider can be found in the provider's privacy policy. You will also receive further information on your rights and settings to protect your privacy there: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en&gl=en. This will happen regardless an existence or absence of a Google user account. In case you are logged in, your information will be directly assigned to your account. If you do not wish to be associated with your profile on Google, you must log out before activating the button. Google stores your user profile data and uses them for the purpose of advertising, market research and/ or demand-oriented design of its website. Such targeting and analysis are carried out (even for users who are not logged in) in order to provide personalized advertising and to inform other users about your activities on our website. You have the right of objection for the creation of such user profiles, objections must be directly addressed with Google.
Integration of Here Maps
We use optional the services of Here Maps for the TrackViewer. Therefore, we can provide visualization by using Here Maps functionalities.
By using the TrackViewer, Here receives information that you have visited the respective website. Further information on the purpose and scope of data collection and its processing by the plug-in provider can be found in the provider's privacy policy. Integration of BKG Maps
We use optional the services of BKG for the TrackViewer. Therefore, we can provide visualization by using BKG map functionalities.
By using the TrackViewer, BKG receives information that you have visited the respective website. In addition, for the technical function the coordinates of the current map section - and thus the location of the user - are transmitted.
Server log files
Every time you access our website, usage data is transmitted through your internet browser and stored in log files (server log files). These stored data include, for example, visited internet page name, date and time of the request, data volume transmitted and the requesting provider. Such data are used to ensure an error-free operation of our TrackViewer to improve our service offering, for billing purposes and to comply with the terms and conditions. An assignment of such data to a specific person is possible. They will not be forwarded to third parties and will be stored anonymously after termination of the contractual relationship with Droniq.
Session cookies
These are cookies that are only stored on your computer for the duration of an internet session. They are technically necessary.
Access to the data / recipients
Only Droniq GmbH, DFS Deutsche Flugsicherung GmbH, and the commissioned software development company Unifly NV have access to the data. These companies have been contractually obliged to use the data exclusively within the scope of fulfilling the contract with DFS. The data does not leave the European Economic Area (EEA). The use of the data is necessary for the provision of the services.
Technical and organizational measures for the protection of personal data (TOMs)
The data exchange with the contractual partners takes place exclusively via encrypted connections (https: ...), so that the data cannot be read by unauthorized persons.
4. HOW LONG WILL MY DATA BE STORED?
We process and store your personal data as long as this is necessary for the fulfilment of our contractual and legal obligations and the purpose of the processing exists. If the data is no longer necessary for the fulfilment of contractual or legal obligations or if the purpose of data storage no longer exists, it will be deleted in accordance with regulatory requirements, unless its - temporary - further processing is necessary for the following purposes:
- fulfilment of commercial and tax law retention obligations, which may arise, for example, from the German commercial code and the German general tax code. The periods of retention or documentation specified usually range between 2-10 years
- preservation of evidence within the scope of the statutory limitation regulations; according to §§ 195 ff. of the German civil code, the period of limitation is 3 years

Droniq uses technical and organizational means to protect your personal data from access and misuse. We keep these security measures up to date in line with technological developments and in compliance with the relevant legal provisions.

In addition, according to article 21 (1) GDPR you have the right to object to processing based on article 6 (1) e and f GDPR as well as to processing for the purpose of direct advertising.
The collection of data for the provision of the web pages and the storage of data in log files is mandatory for the operation of the website. There is therefore no possibility of objection by the user.

We reserve the right to continually update this data privacy statement and the special data privacy statements in order to take changing legislation or jurisdiction into account.
